About
Cress is the Registered Manager has over 10 years qualified front line experience, Rachel
Responsible Individual has over 20 years qualified front line and management experience.
The ethos behind For Families came from both Cress and Rachel working with families and wishing for there to be a service that can safeguard children and teach parents in a positive environment to learn skills to safely parent. We felt some parents would greatly benefit from the opportunity to learn at a much earlier stage of their parenting journey and for those who have had children removed from their care an opportunity to break the cycle.
When I change my actions, I change the results that I achieve! And when I change the results that I achieve, life changes!
Our Aims are:
-
To support you to keep you and your child/ren safe whilst you are staying with us.
-
To support you to learn new skills so you can make more positive choices and improve the quality of your life and achieve better outcomes for you and your child/ren.
-
To work alongside you in an environment that supports you, and in which you can feel comfortable, safe, and be able to parent your child to the best of your ability.
-
To provide you as parents with an assessment which is written by our Social Workers and fairly reflects your time at the placement. This assessment will include your successes and any outstanding concerns we may have. We will include any challenges from your past that may mean you need some additional support to parent your child safely.
-
We will provide you with new ideas and lots of new ways of learning. We can offer
-
support to address past addiction and ways to safely manage any mental health issues. We have a counsellor available to you once a week so you can talk in confidence to someone if you chose to. We can offer you lots of support while you are with us.
-
To focus on supporting you to gain the skills and knowledge that will help you to continue to develop as a parent both now and in the future.
